Provide Accurate Checkout Information with Time to Live
Timeout limits ensure that your buyers are getting up-to-date
product information, including inventory and pricing. Use Time to Live (TTL) to set a timeout
limit on your B2B Commerce checkout. Set limits appropriate to your organization and provide
users with an easy path back to their cart.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience, in Personal, Enterprise, Performance, and Developer editions.
Who: This feature is available to users with a B2B Commerce license.
Why: Using Salesforce APIs, set time limits on your checkout experience. If a buyer user starts the checkout process, but doesn’t complete the order, there’s a chance that inventory and pricing information changes. Prevent users from finishing their checkout with incorrect information by setting limits on the amount of time a checkout can take. If the user exceeds the time limit, they can return to the cart and start over with fresh callouts to third-party services and a fresh cart.
