Get Flexible with the New User Profile Menu Component

Now you can configure menu items, use personalization, and choose to show the user’s company logo and name. Starting in Summer ‘20, the Customizable User Profile Menu component replaces the User Profile component in Lightning communities using the new B2B Commerce Template and new communities using specific themes, including Ember, Stella, Webster, Citizen, Cypress, and Jepson. Existing communities using those themes get the new component instead of the old version when they reapply or change themes.

Where: This change applies to Lightning communities accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Essentials, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: Open Experience Builder. In the header, click the user profile to open the properties editor. Expand Authenticated User Options and click Edit Default User Profile Menu. Customize to fit your needs. Not seeing the editing options? Click the header component and check that the Customizable User Profile Menu component is shown in the User Profile Component dropdown.
