Tidy Up and Close the Tab After a Macro Finishes

Let agents know that a macro has completed the work on a record by closing the tab. When a tab lingers open, agents might wonder if more work is needed. In the Macro Builder, you can now easily add a final close tab instruction to your macros.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: In the Macro Builder, select Add Close Tab Instruction from the Add Instruction dropdown. Make sure to add it last. Otherwise, the rest of your macro doesn’t run.Screen shot of the close tab instruction in Macro Builder

This instruction works only in Lightning console apps, because tabs don’t exist in apps with standard navigation.
