Update Your Lightning Community to the Latest Template

We’re always adding improvements to Lightning communities, but you can’t take advantage of them without the latest template. If you haven’t updated yet, don’t get left behind.

Where: This change applies to Lightning communities, accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: If it’s time to update your community, you see an update flag Update flag in Community Builder in Community Builder. Follow the prompts to update your community.



Before updating your community, make sure to review Update Your Community to understand how the update can affect your community. Also see Migrate CSS Overrides to check selector changes that could affect your custom CSS. Then do a test run in a sandbox before updating it in your production org. If you haven’t updated your community since Winter ’18, check out this release note with important information.
