Convert Guided Action List Settings into Deployments in Setup (Critical Update)

Migrate your existing Guided Action List settings into deployments that you manage in Setup. You can then reuse a Guided Action List configuration on different record pages and orgs. As of Spring ’19, you can no longer configure these settings in component properties. Instead, use deployments that you manage in Setup. To simplify the transition, perform a one-time migration of your existing settings into deployments.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Critical Updates. Click Review to learn more about the update. Click Activate to migrate the settings for your Guided Action List components.

After you activate this update, you can’t deactivate it.

The update converts your settings to a corresponding deployment on each component. After activation, review the record pages that display Guided Action Lists, verify the results, and confirm that the component behavior is the same.

You can create a Guided Action deployment and specify it on a component before activating the update. If you do so, the component takes settings from your deployment, and not from the conversion created in the migration.

Activating the update does not migrate settings for components that are already packaged. After updating the org, update your package.
