Connect Your Users to More External Data with Increased Hourly Limits

We increased the Salesforce Connect default hourly limits per org for OData callouts and new rows retrieved or created. Higher limits mean more opportunities for users to view and modify data stored outside your Salesforce org.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic as part of Salesforce Connect. Salesforce Connect is free for Developer Edition and available for an extra cost in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

Maximum OData callouts per hour. 20,000
Maximum new rows accessed per hour. This limit doesn’t apply to:
  • High-data-volume external data sources
  • Rows that are retrieved only as search results and aren’t opened or edited
  • Other rows that have already been retrieved

To avoid reaching this limit unexpectedly, track your hourly callout limit with the Lightning REST API limits resource using the HourlyLongTermIdMapping limit.
