How and When Do Features Become Available?
Supported Browsers
We made it easier to find what you need in our supported browsers documentation. Supported browsers for Salesforce vary depending on whether you use Salesforce Classic or Lightning Experience. As of April 5, 2019, we no longer support Internet Explorer 9 and 10. You can continue to access these browsers, however, Salesforce will not provide support for issues that you encounter using them.

Salesforce Overall
We introduce new ways to ease and encourage users to transition to Lightning Experience. Also, get insight into why users are switching back to Salesforce Classic with a new feedback form. Personalize your view in Lightning Experience with display density controls. Fast track your communication with predefined quick text messages in emails, tasks, events, and chats. Search within list views, and share your favorite list view with your team. Check out the ways that we bolstered surveys, search filters, and Lightning console apps. And that’s only half of it.
Lightning Essentials
Stay in the app to celebrate, set up, and subscribe to Salesforce Essentials with in-app Trailhead badging, improved setup flows and a new subscription page. In Sales Essentials, tackle more tasks with improved setup flows. In Service Essentials, create a self-service help center and use CTI to let agents make calls from their computers with a softphone.

Chatter
Automatically save your posts as drafts as you’re composing. Now when you post, the cursor moves to the text body instead of the To field so you can start writing your post right away.

Customization

Security and Identity
Your community members and other external users can now use an email address or a phone number to log in or sign up, and with single logout, you can identify which user sessions to end. You can encrypt many more fields and control who can change encryption policies. The new transaction policy wizard makes creating transaction security policies faster and easier. And your users are safer with alerts that warn them before they are redirected from Salesforce.

Salesforce IoT has innovations to help you create unique and memorable customer experiences.
