More Flexible Views of Patient Information

You can independently configure each section of the “Patient Detail for Health Cloud” Lightning component to display information from a Lightning Account or Contact record page using the Individual record type.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and all versions of the mobile app in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions.

Who: Users with the Health Cloud Permission Set License assigned to them can work with this feature.

How: Use any combination of the three new standalone components to deliver the information previously contained in the three sections of the Patient Detail for Health Cloud component.

  • Patient Navigation for Health Cloud now contains the navigation capabilities of Health Cloud as a standalone Lightning component.
  • Patient Info for Health Cloud now contains the patient detail capabilities of Health Cloud as a standalone Lightning component.
  • Patient Card for Health Cloud now contains the patient card capabilities of Health Cloud as a standalone Lightning component.

You can drag these standalone components individually into the pinned region of your page template to customize the persistent information you want your user to have at all times when navigating among subtabs.

The existing "Patient Detail for Health Cloud" component is still available. Your current implementation of Health Cloud using flexipage templates without pinned regions still works, but we recommend that you switch to Pinned Region Pages, preferably with a left sidebar.

We've added the Persistent Patient Detail in Subtabs custom setting, which disables the Patient Card from loading automatically to the left of other Health Cloud components inside a single column in Lightning Console. This allows admins to configure the Patient Detail for Health Cloud, Patient Navigation for Health Cloud, Patient Info for Health Cloud, and Patient Card for Health Cloud to be standalone lightning components inside a pinned header or sidebar of the Account flexipage.

To prevent the non-customizable Patient Detail for Health Cloud component from being displayed in each subtab, disable the Persistent Patient Detail in Subtabs custom setting.
