Bring Your Website Statistics into Analytics with the Google Analytics Connector

Use the Google Analytics connector to bring in data about your websites, and analyze the data using the power of Einstein Analytics.

Where: This change applies to Einstein Analytics in Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Einstein Analytics is available in Developer Edition and for an extra cost in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

Why: If you use Google Analytics to track how visitors use your website, you can now bring this data into Analytics to combine and analyze it with all your other data. Let's look at an example. Imagine your marketing team launches a series of social media promotions and wants to track your website’s page views for each promotion. Using the Google Analytics connector, you can connect to and sync this page view data and then combine it with your marketing data in Einstein Analytics.

How: Create connections with the Google Analytics connector on the Connect tab of the data manager. Google Analytics stores your website data as a binary large object (blob). It uses SQL views to query the blob to create 32 virtual objects that you can connect to.
