Lightning App Builder: Lightning App Customization, Field Traversal in Component Visibility Rules, New Page Templates, and New Components
The Lightning App Builder is now the one-stop shop for Lightning app customization and page management. Edit app branding, options, navigation items, the utility bar, and open and create Lightning pages for your app—all without leaving the App Builder. You can now span to related fields and objects in Lightning component visibility rules, and configure rules for components on app and Home pages. But wait, there’s more! Check out the new templates for console pages and new standard components. The Lightning App Builder is available in both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Unless otherwise noted, the feature changes are only for Lightning Experience. -
Flow: Lightning Components in Screens, Stages, Autolaunch in Lightning Console Apps
With Lightning components, you can build flow screens that look and behave however you want. Use stages to indicate where in the flow a user is at any given time. Then rig that flow up in your Lightning console app so that it autolaunches in a subtab. These changes apply to both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. -
Fields and Picklists: Time Field Type Beta and Picklist Conversion Enhancement for Record Types
All editions get the time custom field beta. Picklist value settings for record types are preserved when you convert the field to a multi-select picklist. -
User Setup: Self-Deactivating External Accounts, New Location for Enhanced Profile Settings
Let external users deactivate their own accounts when they want on the User Management Settings page. Conveniently manage enhanced profile list views and the enhanced profile user interface options here as well. Formerly these options resided on the User Interface page. This change applies to both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. -

Try out the improved log data for tracking external object data callouts with event log files, and let us know what you think. Retrieve and deploy compact layouts for external objects. When you create a new org, you also get an improved OData 2.0 adapter. -
General Setup: Experienced-Based Action Overrides, A Granular User Permission for Roles, List Custom Setting Management
Create a different standard action override for each experience: Lightning Experience, Salesforce Classic, and mobile. If a user needs to be able to look at roles or the role hierarchy, there’s a new user permission for that. You no longer have to give the user View Setup and Configuration. In the user interface, flip a switch to let you and other admins create custom settings of type List. All that, and we renamed the user permission that lets users use customized actions. -
